When I REPLY to a mail and write the main text the *first* charcter is
interpreted as a control-character. The cursur moves down one line. When I write
an e-mail it looks something like this:

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. press reply
2. type in "Dear,"


Actual Results:  
"
ear,"


Expected Results:  
"Dear,"

Also seeing on Windows. This wasn't present in 1.2 alpha but appeared in 1.2 beta.

Confirming (regression). This has happened on nightly builds for the past few days.

Presumably you need MailNews set so replies happen above the quoted text, rather
than below (Preferences, Mail & Newsgroups, Composition) although I haven't
tested without this.

This should definitely get fixed for 1.2 since it can get very annoying, and it
will be experienced by everyone who uses MailNews.

Reproduced using FizzillaCFM/2002101612. Setting All/All. Can someone narrow
down when this appeared?
