Google meet generally works OK, however, randomly between joining new calls, it fails to "connect". I'm attaching the image in the state that it sticks in. When this issue happens, I'm able to use Google chrome to connect to meet.
Possible steps to reproduce
- disconnect / finish an existing call
- page shows the list of scheduled calls
- pick another call scheduled in the list, and click it
The URL is stuck in https://meet.google.com/_meet/xxx-xx-xx?authuser=1&ijlm=xxx&hs=186
Generally the url gets redirected to https://meet.google.com/xxx-xxx-xxxx?authuser=1
Resolution
- Restarting the browser, helps resolve the issue.
- even waiting for 10m, and clicking the listed call, makes it work ( however I can't be sure about it )

Passing across to Web Compatibility team as this seems like it could be an issue on Google's side.

This kind of bugs is usually very hard to reproduce and could be tied to the profile of the person. I don't remember similar reported bugs.
It would be good for the reporter to know if it can be reproduced on a clean profile. and/or if the reporter has some specific addons or settings.

Adding a little more observation that I've made
-
I do attach a web-cam via USB before getting on the call. Not sure if its linux / browser unable to detect in time I open the meet link. ie. it could trying to do a handshake before it shows that the camera is available. Hence, perhaps when I restart the browser, the handshake is clear ?!
-
Recently, the page has started opening (ie not in that "opening" state), however it shows "Camera not available" in google meet.
Addons that I have
- awesomescreenshot
- copyfish
- facebook container
- ublock origin ( I had tried disabling it when I was encountering the issue, but disabling didn't help )
- onetab
- gnome shell integration
- whatfont
- wikiwand
I'll create a new profile and add that observation as well..

This is what I tried when Google chrome had the USB web-cam running on google meet.
- The older firefox profile, I restarted the browser, and tried checking , but the camera was unavailable
- I tried new firefox profile, and checked - the camera seemed working . I closed the new profile window
- Went back to the old profile window ( which was already running ); there suddenly - without doing - anything camera was working !

I was not able to reproduce the issue on my side. I was able to join Google meet meetings at all times.
Tested with:
Browser / Version: Firefox Nightly 104.0a1 (2022-06-29)
Operating System: Ubuntu 20.04.2
Ruturaj does it still occur for you?

It still does randomly in Fx 100 (built by Ubuntu). But as said earlier, can't reproduce it deterministically.
The most common pattern I've observed when it does occur.
- pull out the webcam
- connect meet
- add webcam
- connect hastily ( try connecting as soon as the "join" button appears without whole page loaded completely)
- ... hope that it connects clearly, if it doesn't (ie. the bug occurs), open Google chrome connect OR else wait for 4-5 min. for problem to occur and it goes away

I was not able to reproduce this issue on the latest Nightly. I was able to join multiple Google meetings without encountering issues.
Tested on:
Operating system: Ubuntu 22.04 LTS
Browser/version: Nightly 111.0a1 (2023-02-02)
Closing this as worksforme.
