When having multiple windows, firefox fails to restore the sessions

Steps to reproduce:
Main Firefox session. Tons of tabs and state that I wanted to keep. I moved a single tab to a new window (context is irrelevant, but: New window was a video, main window was me transcribing things).
Done with the video I wanted to close the single, useless, temporary window. Instead of hitting the X (my fault, of course) I went to the taskbar (also my fault: The temp instance was on one screen, the important gazillion tabs instance on another, my main screen) and right clicked, stupidly thinking that's just this screen.... and I selected "Close all windows".
Actual results:
Firefox .. did close all windows. Firefox also decided that the window I created last, a window with a single tab, was the one worth saving. The one I had open for .. literally months with research and tabs I was regularly referencing was now the irrelevant one.
When I restarted Firefox, I .. had a single tab left. From the silly nonsense video that I moved into a window to push it to another screen. My main session was dead and gone.
Expected results:
If I "close all windows" then next time Firefox restarts it should .. restore all windows. Or at least it shouldn't make assumptions about which window is the one worth saving, because - obviously, see above - those assumptions might very well be flawed.
(My fault for closing all windows, but the behavior definitely is ... unexpected / not great either)

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Win32' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

I tried to reproduce this issue on Firefox 104.0, Firefox 105.0 and Nightly 106.0a1 on Windows 10, macOS 12, Ubuntu 22.04 without any success. Session Restore works fine every time.
Could you please answer some questions so we can investigate this further:
