On my linux machines at least it feels like FF buffers less media data than other browsers
(but I haven't measured this). And in some cases this leads the service to drop to lower quality video, I think. https://areena.yle.fi is an example.

Perhaps it is purely accidental that increasing media.cache_readahead_limit seems to help with Areena.

Hmm, maybe the issue with Areena isn't about that. Now it dropped again to lower quality.
