User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:96.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/96.0

Steps to reproduce:

goto https://ab57.ru/cmdlist/runas.html

Actual results:

cyrillic characters as squares

Expected results:

cyrillic characters as letters

Component: Untriaged → Graphics: Text
Product: Firefox → Core

Cannot reproduce in 96.0.3. What does "View > Repair Text Encoding" do?

Flags: needinfo?(TemkaY2k)

I don't think this is a text encoding issue; it's something font-related.

TemkaY2k, I'm guessing that you have some old versions of "Times" fonts installed, and this is causing confusion. (I don't mean the "Times New Roman" that is a standard Windows font; but if your system also has some "Times" fonts, try uninstalling those and see if it makes a difference to the problem.)

Summary: cyrillic → Cyrillic isn't rendered correctly

Cannot reproduce on Windows, Linux, or Mac. Most likely a local font issue with the reporters system.

Severity: -- → S3
Priority: -- → P3

A needinfo is requested from the reporter, however, the reporter is inactive on Bugzilla. Closing the bug as incomplete.
