User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:97.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/97.0
Steps to reproduce:
tried to move tabs around by dragging them with a mouse
Actual results:
tabs are immovable
Expected results:
tabs should move freely inside open firefox window so you can reorder them or to a new window if dragged outside the current window (win7). it happened i think with latest update of firefox to 97.0 (64bit) within last two or three days

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Tabbed Browser' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

Hi,
I wasn't able to reproduce the issue on my end, could you please check if it also occurs to you while in troubleshooting mode? (add-ons disabled)
Here is a link that can help you with that: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/diagnose-firefox-issues-using-troubleshoot-mode
Thank you!

Sorry to have bothered you, I found the cause - my tablet pen is broken it seems, all is working as expected when I use a mouse
Actually, I looked around and found another thread that resolved the issue, specifically the dom... setting in about:config. This is the link to the thread:

see my comment there, copied here
Im on Wacom Intous 2, XD-0608-U, Win7, Firefox 97.0. Started about a week ago - Pen drag and rearrange tabs would not work. This is what helped me, from Henk (1y ago, see above):
What helped for me (using a xp-pen artist 2) to use windows ink, was to switch on dom.w3c_pointer_events.dispatch_by_pointer_messages in about:config.

But you might raise this with developers, see why it happens so randomly
