Why would a bug never manifest from Firefox Nightly 95 to Firefox Nightly 99, yet in plain Firefox 97 the bug persists?

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Cocoa' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

Do you have any custom shortcuts set for Firefox, but not Nightly? These would be set under System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts.

Perusing Apple > Preferences… > Keyboard > Shortcuts > … reveals nothing obvious.
I did not know it was possible to set per-app keyboard shortcuts.
This bug occurs even in Troubleshoot mode.

I have not been able to reproduce this bug on current Firefox versions. Even if I change my TTS shortcut to overlap with a Firefox shortcut (such as say, bookmarks) the TTS reader will play instead of using the Firefox shortcut. Given this version of firefox is out of ESR I am going to mark this bug as worksforme.
