User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/98.0.4758.82 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

Today I wanted to open a .dwg attachment in an email in Thunderbird (91.6.0 32bit, Win 7 Pro SP1).

Actual results:

Previously, the system would open the dwg in AutoCAD, but now, when i clicked on it in attachment, nothing happened, dead, as if I'm clicking on an empty part of the screen.

Expected results:

As the dwg was dead and nothing was happening, I deleted handlers.json in my profile folder, hoping that this was causing the issue.
However, after this, I could no longer open even rar/zip files (same as with dwg).
When I go to Preferences - Files and attachments, neither rar nor zip file types are listed.
Other types that I have successfully opened after deleting handlers.json (pdf, docx, xlsx, jpg, pptx) work normally.

DWG and RAR are not reacting to clicking on it, as they previously did.

Component: Untriaged → General

From what I see for now, in Files and Attachments, no new file types are listed when I try to open a new type of attachment.
As for opening from mail itself: double click - nothing, right click - open - nothing.
Currently the Files and Attachments list holds docx, xlsx, pptx and pdf (after deleting handlers.json, these are the file tpyes that I succeeded to open directly from mail), but will not open any other type, nor put it in the Files and Attachments list.

To try to expand the view of this, here is a c/p from the Error console after multiple attempts of a new mail with DWG attachment:

Is this a duplicate of bug 1747360 ?

pantagana, do you find that 91.7.0 resolved your problem?? (a patch shipped this week)

Flags: needinfo?(vseerror) → needinfo?(pantagana23)

Note, Windows 7 is almost two years out of support - time to upgrade. :)
