Steps to reproduce:
This is similar to 698079, but I'm only encountering it with Remote desktop. If I unplug the speakers manually the audio device swaps. I think there's some weird interaction with Remote Desktop.
Anyway.
- Connect to a computer via remote desktop a configure the session to "play audio via remote speakers"
- Open Firefox and some Youtube audio. Verify speakers are working
- Close the Remote Desktop RDP session (NOT logout, just terminate the session to keep the user logged in).
- Audio stops playing.
Actual results:
The audio stops playing when the remote desktop session is terminated. I /think/ Windows removes the audio devices and adds them back (or some other nonsense) when the RDP is started / stopped. I'm making this assumption based on the weird audio hiccup I experience with other programs. I have no easy way to verify this.
As stated before, if I unplug the external speakers the audio will redirect to the internal speaker.
Expected results:
I expect the audio to continue playing after the RDP session is terminated. This works in Chrome and VLC.
I think bugzilla was detecting the browser version I reported this one (91esr), but I'm encountering the issue with Firefox 97.
