Steps to reproduce:

Took me 4 days to find the fix,

  • apparently only Ubuntu 20.04 defaults to AMDGPU,
  • while Debian 11 / Suse Tumbleweed & 15.3 Leap as well as Fedora 35 default to Nouveau/Intel

This is crucial and very hard for people / Distro-Builders to ever find out , could impact everyone (except Ubuntu?) !

Actual results:

  • Tried watching Twitch stream -> my Laptop was entirely overheating
  • Video was unwatchable and Choppy / Same for Jitsi & BigBlue Button
  • Tried out any codedc possible, tried http://html5test.com/
  • Came back after a break, (using an AMDGPU), did the following, uninstalled both Intel & Nouveau

sudo dnf remove xorg-x11-drv-nouveau.x86_64
sudo dnf remove xorg-x11-drv-intel

Issue Fixed, Laptop vents not kicking in, 0 Lag, Twitch Streams work flawlessly

Expected results:

  • 0 Lag / Choppy Streams

Tested OS-Versions:

  • Fedora 35, Debian 11, Suse Tumbleweed & Leap 15.3
  • Ubuntu 20.04
