(Whoops, that's twice now that I've pressed Return to move to the next field...)

Customise -> drag the <menubar> to the palette -> click on Done. No JS error,
but the "customize" menu entry remains greyed out; but at least the <menubar>
(assuming that it *is* still a menubar!) reappears on reloading the browser or
on creation of a new window - but always in its original position.

Should the menu bar be draggable (if so, it needs an iconic representation in
the palette) or should its position be remembered? (This is why I left the
menubar well alone and added a separate toolbar to the right.)
sorry, i'm not seeing this. what build are you using?

Built from CVS this afternoon, shortly after I noticed that bug 171702 had been
marked as "fixed".

We should probably prevent the menubar from being removed completely. 
hyatt fixed this today around 4PM.

I don't see why not, if it has an icon in the 'customize toolbar' thing - it
could be removed and put back in place when needed.. I would prefer this, but
it's just my opinion..
