User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.0.1) Gecko/20021003 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.0.1) Gecko/20021003 This happens with many pages from differnet sites. Viewing a page, scrolling up and down with the wheel works OK if you do it slowly. If you scroll fast back and forth Mozilla often jumps out of the current page and shows one of the pages visited earlier. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.View an HTML page 2.Click links to view other pages a couple of times 3.Use the mouse wheel to scroll up and down fast. Actual Results: Mozilla jumped out of the page I was scrolling and showed one of the pages in the "Back" list. Expected Results: Scrolled the current page up and down in response to the mouse wheel rotations. X86Config appears to be correct for my MicroSoft Intellimouse Pro, connected via PS/2.
Dup of bug 133770?
Seems to me to be not related to Bug #133770.
Does your mousewheel have a clickable button? What happens when you intentionally press down the wheel button, then scroll?
This is a very annoying bug. Almost makes the browser unusable. Anytime I scroll UP the page with the mouse wheel on a Microsoft mouse, it tries to go to another page and then you have to click BACK again to get back to where you were. Looks like thi shas been reported for awhile with no progress. Please advise. Thanks
do you have some misconfigured mouse gestures installed..?
I am not sure what misconfigured mouse gestures means. I have not installed anything that I am aware of. Can you elaborate? Thanks
Is it possible that you press the mouse wheel while fast scrolling?
Scott, you might try to change your prefs.. look under edit>preferences>advanced>mouse wheel.
Is this still an issue? Reporter has Mozilla 1.0.1

I have found that this happens with both Dapper and official Firefox builds in Ubuntu Dapper. The bug is also listed as 32561 in Ubuntu's launchpad. As related there, the problem appears to be with the mouse driver, and not with Firefox - button 6 and 7 presses are generated when scrolling quickly.
