Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:97.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/97.0
Steps to reproduce:
Drag&Drop email to folder in Windows.
Actual results:
eml file is created in target folder correctly.
BUT: original email in Thunderbird is gone. It is NOT moved to the trash, it is NOT possible to undo the operation. The original email is just gone forever.
In (all) previous versions I know of, Drag&Drop always worked as COPY to folder, not like MOVE as it seems to be doing now since 91.6.1.
Using Ctrl+Drag or Shift+Ctrl+Drag does not help or change this behaviour.
My version is Thunderbird 91.6.1 build 20220214162907.
user agent string: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:91.0) Gecko/20100101 Thunderbird/91.6.1
Expected results:
The eml file should have been created in the target folder (✔), but the original email within Thunderbird should still be present and should not be deleted or gone (❌).

After restarting Thunderbird it worked again correctly, the eml file was created without loosing the original mail in TB.
I don't know what I had done before to provoke the erratic behavior.
Sorry, maybe this can be closed.

Oops, after I sent my PC to sleep overnight, today I have the same behaviour again: Dragging emails from TB into a folder destroys the original email in TB.
And again, after I restarted TB, Drag&Drop works correctly again.
So it has something to do with my PC sleeping, and with TB 91.6.1 because I never had this behavior before. I send my PC to sleep every evening and dragging lots of emails to folders every day.

I also realized just now that one TB email that had been gone before after Drag&Drop is back in my inbox after I restarted TB.

Upgraded to 91.7.0 - still the same wrong behavior.
This time the disappeared email did not come back after restarting TB.
But after I restarted TB, Drag&Drop works correctly again.

I'm sorry, this is not a Thunderbird bug, but due to the introduction of "mouse gestures" in a plug-in I'm using, Manage Emails/ Nostalgy++, see https://github.com/opto/nostalgy-xpi/issues/155
