User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:97.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/97.0
Steps to reproduce:
I wanted to test different add-ons on Debian Bullseye Linux system (the same things are observed from Linux Ubuntu Focal Fossa), so I installed TB (v91.5.0).
Since I just wanted to test the add-ons, on a fresh profile, I didn't create any email account. While the new account wizard was open, I installed the various add-ons from the add-on manager.
I insist on this point the new account wizard was open as I tried to install the various add-ons.
Actual results:
Depending on the technique chosen, the result slightly differs.
If I installed from local XPI file from the Add-ons Manager from the cog wheel widget or from the drag and drop functionality, nothing happened, even in the error console.
If I installed from the web (Find more add-ons field), the popup downloading and verifying add-on only shows a progress bar wich goes right to left ... but which never ends. Also the error console shows an activity (see the attachments)
Expected results:
The modules should have been installed. It is not (no popup "accept to install").
As I said I found a workaround : closing the new account wizard before.
The modules should have been installed without having to close the new account wizard, but it is not the case, furthermore no displaying warnings was displayed from the Add-ons Manager.
But why the new account wizard interfere with the Add-ons Manager ?
