Details

I'm using Mozilla 1.2b build 2002101612.
When clicking on an URL pointing to a .exe or .zip file I get the following error:

"c:\temp\[8 random characters].exe/.zip could not be saved because, the source
file could not be read.

Please try again later, or contact the server administrator"

The same happens when a page tries to automatically begin a download (i.e.
cnet's "download now" link).

Right clicking and selecting "save link target as..." brings up the save dialog
and lets me select a destination directory. Yet once I push the "save" button
nothing happens and the file isn't downloaded.

This problem appeared when I upgraded from Mozilla 1.2 alpha.
