Note

  • When the user loads a video in a Ubuntu + xwayland window protocol, lunches in PiP, positions it close to the top, grabs the left (or right) edge and enlarges it beyond the screen limit, he will notice that the PiP window will show some weird glitch and a skink, sticking to the top or top-left corner.

Affected versions

  • Nightly v99.0a1

Affected platforms

  • Ubuntu 21 + xwayland or X11 (window protocols)

Steps to reproduce

  1. Launch browser
  2. Load a video
  3. Click the PiP button
  4. Move the PiP closer to top
  5. Grab the left edge and enlarge the window over the screen limit

Expected result

  • It enlarges to the maximum remaining space and stops there.

Actual result

  • It glitches, shrinks and sticks to the top edge or top-left corner.

Regression range

  • Not a recent regression.
