Hey Vincent,
I tried reproducing this issue on the latest versions of Firefox Nightly 99.0a1 (2022-03-07) , beta 98.0 and release 97.0.2 but it works for me.
Can you test the issue while in Safe Mode? You can find helpful info here : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode .
Testing with a fresh new profile could help. You can find more about creating a new profile here : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-and-diagnose-firefox-problems#w_6-create-a-new-firefox-profile .
If possible, you can test this issue on the nightly build as well. Download the build from : https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/nightly/all/ .
Hi,
I wouldn't say that it's the case 100% of the time, but it does occur, I don't know when/why it doesn't work.
I'd think that sometimes handoff does not sync and it does not work for everyone, but when it sync again, it works elsewhere but FF would not pick it up

Please try the things suggested in comment 2 and get back to us.
We're trying to see if maybe an addon or anything from the "dirty profile" might cause the issue.
by the way, it does the same thing on FF iOS

Handoff is handled by macOS, not Firefox, so there's nothing for Firefox to sync, and I don't think there's any reason it would work in other apps but not Firefox. The next time it happens, could you please try the following?
- Double check that it doesn't happen in other apps, and then check again that it does happen in Firefox
- Open the Browser Console (Tools > Browser Tools > Browser Console) and report any errors that are logged here in the bug
- Restart Firefox in safe mode and try again (please see comment 2 for info)

Clear a needinfo that is pending on an inactive user.
Inactive users most likely will not respond; if the missing information is essential and cannot be collected another way, the bug maybe should be closed as INCOMPLETE
.
