Thunderbird Threading Mail even though Threading turned off in View

Steps to reproduce:
I have been having a back-n-forth conversation with someone at a pet rescue, I have threading set to no-threading in view, and the message index does not show threaded, but when I view the message it threads them altogether AND if I delete one, it deleted them ALL, UNCOOL!
Actual results:
Threaded display even though view is set to no-threading.
Expected results:
Messages should appear individually.

you have set version to 95, which is an old beta.
what is your precise version #?

Your description sounds like the 'Thread Pane' where it displays list of emails is not threaded and shows each email received separately.
When you click on email to read the message, where are you seeing this 'threading' occur?
For example:
Does message open and display in the lower 'Message Pane' and it is in the Message Pane where you see all the responses in one email with the newest on the top because each is a reply to the previous comment?
Or
when you click on email in Thread Pane to read contents in Message Pane, the 'Thread Pane' list itself suddenly becomes threaded ?
Or
are you right clicking on email in Thread Pane and choosing 'Open Message in Conversation' which opens in a new tab ?
Please post two images - a before and after select email - which shows the 'threading' change, it would help clarify your problem.

Sorry, 91.8.0 the version installed with Ubuntu 22.04 pre-release in it's present state.
Images as mentioned in comment 2 would help - to show the before and after selection of email - to show all as unthreaded and then select email and show how it auto changes to threaded.
Had a thought - in the view where you are seeing threaded emails, is any icon selected/highlighted in the Quick Filter Bar eg: pin?
