yes it's easy, yes this is the correct procedure, but i'm a bit puzzled by your

I kind of assumed there was a default list and a per-component list (apparently
not). Let me clarify.

Because the Directory product is both "standalone" (which is why I'd like the
TM's I requested) and part of the Mozilla 1.x client build, the list actually
needs to include all of the Mozilla 1.x client milestones (which seem to be
there now) AND the ones I requested. Is that do-able? When a new Mozilla 1.x,
2.x, etc. milestone is added how will we make sure it also gets added to the
Directory product?

yes unfortunately most settings are per product not per component, that may
change in the future if someone could build a ui for it (it's not an easy problem).

So this is a request to add additional milestones? You want to be able to set
either a Mozilla milestone or a Directory specific milestone on any given bug?
You won't be able to set both. Am I reading this request correctly?

Yes, you are reading the request correctly. I'd like additional milestones added.

Yes, I realize I have to use a Mozilla milestone if a bug is important to the
Mozilla client (but some of the Directory code is not used by the Mozilla client
at all, and the Mozilla client uses a stable branch of the Directory code anyway).
