Steps to reproduce

1. Open Firefox and set browser.search.region to UK
2. Go to and reach the payment form for next.co.uk
3. Introduce new CC information and click on "Pay Now" button
4. Observe CC doorhanger

Expected result

CC logo should be displayed without any delay.

Actual Result

Delay in showing CC logo in the CC doorhanger.

Note

The issue isn't reproducible on Google Chrome.

The generic logo part of this bug will be solved by Bug 1758369. I'm still a bit confused as to why we show the generic logo, then no logo, and then the correct card logo. We can see this if you go frame-by-frame between 0:03 and 0:04 in Comment #0. Once the generic logo issue is fixed, I believe this second issue will not be noticeable...but it is still a bit odd.

Hi Hani, can you see if this bug is still reproducible now that Bug 1758369 has landed? Note, you'll want to set browser.search.region to GB instead of UK since Bug 1762649 has landed. The summary is that the region detection logic uses the two digit country code defined by ISO 3166, so we need to use "GB" instead of "UK".

The issue isn't reproducible any more on Firefox Nightly 101.0a1 (2022-04-14) on Windows 10 x64, macOS 11.6 and on Ubuntu 20.04 x64.
