Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open two different new Google Sheets spreadsheets in two separate tabs.
  2. Type any number into a cell in the first spreadsheet.
  3. Press Ctrl-C on that cell.
  4. Switch to the tab with second spreadsheet.
  5. Select a cell and press Ctrl-V.
  6. Return to the first tab, select an empty cell and press Ctrl-V

Actual results:

step 5) - the value copied from the first spreadsheet is not pasted, the cell remains empty. Spreadsheet "freezes" for about 4 seconds.
step 6) - spreadsheet "freezes" for about 4 seconds, then the copied value is pasted into the new cell.

Expected results:

step 5) - the copied value is pasted immediately (without delay or freezing) into the selected cell.
step 6) - the copied value is pasted immediately (without delay or freezing) into the selected cell.

It worked this way in previous versions of Firefox. Just checked that it still works this way in Chromium.

I wasn't able to reproduce the issue on my end.
Could you please check if this also occurs on a new profile? Here is a link that can help you with that:

While on 98.0 the issue was pretty reproducible, in 98.0.1 and 98.0.2 (which I have now) it occurs more randomly.
A few days ago I was again updating some spreadsheets that I regularly use (actually I discovered the issue while updating them) and there was no issue.
Today I checked first on my regular profile and the issue did occur.
Then I created a new profile and there was no issue on the new profile. But when I turned on the title bar and menu bar in Firefox menu (which is the layout I always use), the issue did occur on the new profile. But after I tried again with a new pair of spreadsheets, again there was no issue.
Then I logged out of Google Docs (I am usually not logged in to Google and log in only when I want to work with the data in Google account, then log out before closing the browser) and switched to my regular profile and there was no issue - I tried 2 times.
Then I deleted the empty profile I created previously and tried again on my regular profile - the issue did occur.
I restarted the browser and the issue did not occur on my regular profile.
So it reproduces randomly.

I was not able to reproduce this issue on the latest Nightly. I was able to paste the copied cell on both Spreadsheets.
