Steps to reproduce:

  • Thunderbird 91.7.0
  • Reply to a formatted mailchimp email
  • Start typing response
  • White text #f8f8f8 on white #ffffff background results in un-readable edit experience.
  • Overriding fg/bg colors does not work. Colors always revert to white on white.

Actual results:

white text on white background appears (or should I say, invisibly appears) in compose window.

Expected results:

black text on white background should appear, or editing of fg/bg colors should work.
