Details

I'm unable to download files using Mozilla 1.2b .
 Two examples - I go to http://www.mozilla.org . I right-click on the hyperlink
for "Nightly Builds" (Windows) - this is the file mozilla-win32-installer-
sea.exe . When I right-click , I choose "Save link target as". The pop-up
window appears (so you can choose the directory to save in). When I click
the "Save" button, I get one of two things -
a) Nothing happens at all, or ...
b) I get a popup window with the message - "(filename) could not be saved,
because the source file could not be read. Please try again later".

Example 2 - I go to Sourceforge to download a file (I tried downloading Dev-
cpp). I go to that page , and get as far as choosing a mirror site to d/l
from. I choose Phoenix, AZ as the mirror site (LEFT-clicking on that site). I
get the "your download should begin shortly" window, then I get a popup window
with the words "C:\temp\aan9ppgu.exe could not be saved, because the source
file could not be read. Try again later, or contact the server administrator".
Hmmm .... I then go back to the "select a mirror site" window, and I try
RIGHT-clicking on one of the mirror sites. I get the popup window ( the "save
as" window) , but this time, when I click ok, nothing happens - not even
the "error popup" with the "filename could not be saved" message.
I hope this can be fixed for v 1.2 , as it's a *major* bug. I should say that
I *love* Mozilla , and I'm now using it (v1.2b) as my everyday browser.
 Thanks for your time !
Reporter: Try to delete compreg.dat, this should fix it.
