after reading wishlist faq, I place my proposal here. I hope, that this is
corect place, sorry if not.
I'd like to synchronize mail folders on my work
and home computer. I'd like them both to contain
same messages. Now it is impossible because of
mail folder structure (one file per folder).
Ideal use case would be:
*flag folders or message to be transfered to other computer
*press Save messages
*choose file name
transfer file to other computer
*press Synchronize with
*choose file
and voila file will be opened and all folders / messages,
that are in file and are not present in local computer
will be saved here.
What'ya think? Such feature would help me a lot.
Thank you for great product!

Reporter: Is it possible for this to be resolved by using imap ?
You could also create a local folder file, and save all the messages into that,
and then take them with you (maybe on a usb keychain)

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".
This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.
If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.

I started to use IMAP wherever possible.
Though I must say, that Mozilla products really sucks in data migration.
Whenever I reinstall my PC, I loose most information. I can take my bookmarks
and cookies from browser to new installation. There is nothing to save for
emails. All settings is everytime lost and I spend many months to catch original
state.
