User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:98.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/98.0
Steps to reproduce:
a. Alt + Tab (switch to another application window)
b. One more Alt + Tab (to come back to firefox window)
Or
a. Alt + ` to jump to another Firefox window itself
This is practically making firefox useless for my daily meetings + share screens and other collab works.
Actual results:
Firefox stops repsonding. Brings up the popup window showing
"Firefox is not responding" [Wait] [ForceQuit]
After 10 to 20 secs, it come back.
If you try to scroll frantically (two finger scrolling on the laptop's touchpad), firefox at this point, it exits.
Expected results:
Firefox should not show any lag or crash. It should be super responsive and scroll fast without any issue or lag.

My current Firefox version: 98.0.2 , but the issue is there for some time.
Was expecting this to be fixed when each time an update comes.
uname -a
Linux aruns-manjaro 5.13.19-2-MANJARO #1 SMP PREEMPT Sun Sep 19 21:31:53 UTC 2021 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Let me know if you need any more info.

Is this reproducible when starting with a fresh user profile and zero add-ons or extensions activated?

Then the problem is not in Firefox itself. Feel free to bring this up in a support forum instead.

Is that some sort of default theme Manjaro uses or so? I'd report upstream, it seems like they're doing a ton of userCSS / user.js hacks: https://gitlab.manjaro.org/Chrysostomus/firefox-gnome-theme-maia/
