Details

Signing up for Firefox Account is an easy and well designed process. It can be improved by generating recovery codes at the last step (right after setting up password) and downloading them to user's machine.

Currently users facing data loss when they forget their password. They should have used Recovery Codes, but there is no information about Recovery Codes presented during setting up FXA. By making a download of recovery code as part of the setup process, we increase chance that users have the way to regain access to their data.
