Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.go to http://www.google.com 2.enter 'XPM forma' (without quotes) in search field 3.hit enter or launch the search Actual Results: total freeze Expected Results: display the result html page Nothing particular. Done with lastest mozilla (2002101612) and older, crashed every time.
WFM, current CVS. There's a very similar report in bug 176102 (freeze on a two word search where the first start with an x).
Searching for "forma" will do it. No X-word :-) I suspect non-latin letters or other unusual glyphs. Because the second hit for "forma" is in cyrillic. The search result for "ru" or "jp" will likewise freeze the browser. BUT a single japanese won't do harm (cf. bug 176102). I have an HTML file that loaded ok, but froze the browser when I scrolled the HTML entity "&zwnj;" into view. Changing it to (inactive) "& zwnj;" made the whole file work fine. But isolated into a separate file, "<html>&zwnj;</html>", it didn't cause problems. Quite the opposite: now I can view the file that previously broke. It healed the browser permanently.

The same thing happens to me when I search for "suexec". I'm using Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021130 Mozilla freezes.
