User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:98.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/98.0
Steps to reproduce:
Thunderbird Version 91.7.0 on Windows 10 Professional:
- Opened a saved message.
- Edit --> Select --> All.
- Edit --> Copy. (Or CTRL C)
- Compose new message.
- Edit --> Paste. (Or CTRL V)
Actual results:
The copied text pasted along with a Table that includes the original message's From/To/Subject lines.
Expected results:
This is wrong!!!! In version 78 only the copied text would paste, and that is the correct behavior.
I don't want the table stuff! That was not selected by me nor is there any indication that it was selected when I executed the Select All option. Moreover, it is now almost impossible to delete the pasted table! You can't just select it and delete! The only way is click in the table, then Format, then Table, then Delete, then Table. This is a ridiculous waste of time.
The message whose text I am copying contains my preferred signature text and image, and that is all I want to paste into the new messages that I am composing.
Why oh why does TB take something that is not broken and then destroy it!

Not sure. Still running 102.15.1 where the problem still occurs. I get around it by manually selecting and copying content rather than using the 'Select All' command.
Won't update to 115.9 since it'll break valuable add-ons such as Columns Wizard and EditEmailSubject MX which I cannot afford to lose, sorry.
