Details

We currently use multiple pref roots for chat settings:

  • messenger.* which is mostly used for chat account settings
  • chat.*
  • purple.*

We should get rid of purple.* and consider moving the things stored in the messenger.account.* prefs into the TB account prefs (which would be mail.account.*).

While we can migrate prefs that were manually set by users, prefs set via enterprise policies might need more consideration.
