Steps to reproduce:

  1. Install the firefox snap on ubuntu
  2. browse to https://extensions.gnome.org (on a gnome desktop)
  3. follow instructions to install plugin
  4. see the message that there is communication

Actual results:

Not possible to install extensions directly from the website

Expected results:

Website should work the same way as with the deb version
