Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826 After setting Mozilla to be the default browser and then trying to open a page from Mirc(v6.03) it still opens in Iexplorer. I tried the same with MyIE and that works fine. I looked in the Folder Options - File Types settings and the handler for "Internet Shortcut" changes for MyIE but not when Mozilla is choosen as the default browser it looks the same as when IE is the default browser. I haven't tried if the bug exists with other applications that call for the systems default browser or if its only with mirc. It can be something with the new way default apps should be registerd in XP since the SP1 update. The Mozilla mail client shows up under the "Control Panel"-"Add/Remove Programs"-"Set Program Access and Defaults", which is new since the XP SP1 update, but the Mozilla browser doesn't show up. And as I written the Filetype "Internet Shortcut" seems wrong. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Install Mirc v6.03 2.Intall Mozilla and set it to be the default browser 3.Doubble-click a URL in a channel in Mirc. Actual Results: The url is opened in Internet Explorer. Expected Results: Mozilla should have opened the url. I'm running Windows XP Pro with SP1.
this seem to be a mirc problem. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 170867 ***
