Details

Worst bit of 'pre-release' code I've ever seen.

Took over 4 minutes on an AlphaStation 200 4/233 with 384 MB of memory to start!

Many too many bugs to make it usable as even a pre-beta release.

1. Normal X editting functions to not work such as CRTL/U and the <DEL> key on
   highlighted text.
2. JavaScript MouseOver events appear to work but MouseOut events do not.
3. multipart/x-mixed-replace does not work
4. WWW-authentication created a popup window for authentication pair. Username
   and password are not echoed.
5. Authentication pair (after typing in username and password) are not sent to
   the server.
6. Back button fails to function after hitting a page requiring authentication.
7. fonts are too fargin small in input windows. Very difficult to read.
8. <IMG SRC> tags that apparently it can't process are blanked instead of show-
   ing the broken image ICON.
9. S*L*O*W S*L*O*W S*L*O*W

I suspect that once *basic* web browsing functions can be made to function, I
will find and report more problems.

Well then it's probably more pre-release than any pre-release you've ever seen.
 =)

Please follow the bug writing guidelines
(http://www.mozilla.org/quality/bug-writing-guidelines.html) in future - they're
there to help you supply the necessary information. Ie please submit one bug
per issue (so they can be assigned to different people as necessary) and please
mention which version of the software you are using.

> 2. JavaScript MouseOver events appear to work but MouseOut events do not.

There are a variety of MouseOut problems currently in the bug system, please do
a search on "MouseOut" in the summary and see if any apply to you. If not,
please submit a new bug, stating where the problem is (and submit a web page
that exhibits the problem).

> 3. multipart/x-mixed-replace does not work

This is bug #6819, and it was fixed a while ago. If you're using a piece of
software later than when the bug was fixed, I suggest you reopen it.

> 8. <IMG SRC> tags that apparently it can't process are blanked instead of
> showing the broken image ICON.

This is as designed - it is showing the ALT text, as HTML intended. See bug
#1994.

> 9. S*L*O*W S*L*O*W S*L*O*W

Everyone is well aware of the speed problems, and it is constantly being
improved. However, without a concrete issue, there's nothing that can be done
in this case.

I couldn't find any of the other problems in the bug system. I do know
authentication is not all there yet though. I believe M12 is the current
target for full usability.

If you resubmit these bugs separately, they can be marked as duplicates as
necessary by those who know more than me.
