Steps to reproduce

  1. Open Firefox and go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/language-tools/
  2. Add any language pack.
  3. Go to https://www.onlinetexteditor.com/
  4. Right click on the textarea -> Languages.

Expected result

Adding a language pack should be reflected on the check spelling languages list.

Actual Result

Adding a language pack isn't reflected on the check spelling languages list.

The same issue is also reproducible on old Firefox versions.

Language packs and dictionaries have no relation, they are two different types of add-ons.

Open Firefox and go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/language-tools/

There's a column for dictionaries.

Status: NEW → RESOLVED
Closed: 3 years ago
Resolution: --- → INVALID

There is indeed, but we expect the same results after adding a language pack like after adding a dictionary per a discussion with :dminor on slack.

That was my mistake, I thought the language packs would also contain the dictionaries.
