I'm hitting this bug as well on latest Nightly 101.0a1 with Win 11 x64. This happens when trying to open a certain extension in Firefox (e.g. ac3 files), while the browser was previously set as default for that extension.
STR:
- Navigate in Win to Setting - > Apps - > Default Apps, then search for the extension you want to set as default to be opened in Firefox.
- Double click on the file extensions set above (in the video below I've set Firefox as default browser for .ac3 files).

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Win32' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Looks like an update didn't go well.

I would love to know more about the set-up here. For a start:
- Attaching zipped up versions of all Firefox installations on the system
- An export of HKCU and HKLM's
Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.pdfkeys.

Unfortunately, I'm not able to reproduce the issue again using latest Nightly 101.a1 or Beta 100.0b2 on the same Win 11 machine. From my previously comment, I have installed and uninstalled a bunch of Firefox builds, that maybe somehow didn't trigger the issue anymore.
I'll keep an eye on this anyways, and attach the zipped files and HKCU and HKLM's keys, in case I'm hitting the bug once more.
