Looks like bug 1761973 broke opening external attachments, which are links to a resource on the net, not a local file.

Typical error in the console:
AttachmentInfo.open: file - https://server.com/media/pic.jpg, [Exception... Apologies, we made a mistake porting bug 1761973 back to ESR 91 that caused this, see bug 1761973 comment #9. All working in Daily.
