Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:99.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/99.0

Steps to reproduce:

To reproduce, use mouse and left-click to highlight some text. The position in the text where the left-click ends is the text position.

Holding down the shift key while pressing the left arrow will move the text position left (selecting more text to the left or de-selecting text from the right).

Actual results:

This does not work for shift+right arrow. Nothing happens.

Expected results:

Additional text should select toward the right (adding to the end of the selection) or de-select text from the left side of the selected text.

I didn't manage to reproduce this issue on the latest versions Nightly 101.0a1 and Firefox 99.0.1 on Windows 10 x64.
On what type of documents or which websites did you notice this issue?
Could you please retest this using Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode and with a new profile to eliminate custom settings as a possible cause?
