Steps to reproduce:
I don't know if it's a bug or a parameter :
When I click right button of my mouse and I click on "Save as" functionnality it's not working.
Actual results:
When I click on "Save as" nothing happened.
Expected results:
Normally a box should be open for save the page.
Someone reported in https://askubuntu.com/questions/1404941/no-file-save-dialog-for-snap-applications that installing these two packages helped:
xdg-desktop-portal xdg-desktop-portal-gtk
Thank's for your response.
I have found a best clean method : I removed the snap Firefox package and I use the official Mozilla deb package, it's work very fine and it's most ligth.
I don't undestand why Firefox it's installed by default with the snap package. I think it's not a good idea.

On first attempt, I didn't manage to reproduce your issue using latest versions Nightly 102.0a1 and Firefox 100.0 on Ubuntu 22.04.
eray, could you please add a more useful description to this report, by providing more specific steps to reproduce, as a list, step by step?

I'm closing as invalid because we have no feedback fromt the reporter who mentionned moving away from Snap, and there's no repro on our side as well. There have been a lot of things fixed around that area, it's likely not a problem anymore.
If anyone still repro, please reopen with more context.

when I launch firefox in a terminal and attempt to save an image, this appears in the terminal:
(firefox:14400): Gtk-WARNING **: 21:47:15.584: Could not find the icon 'user-home-ltr'. The 'hicolor' theme
was not found either, perhaps you need to install it.
You can get a copy from:

... and then this:
(firefox:14400): Gtk-WARNING **: 21:48:34.388: Can't open portal file chooser: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.TimedOut: Failed to activate service 'org.freedesktop.portal.Desktop': timed out (service_start_timeout=120000ms)

firefox is also extremely slow to start. About 20 seconds. Other desktop activities are normal, even launching something as heavy as intellij is normal

(In reply to Tim Richardson from comment #7)
... and then this:
(firefox:14400): Gtk-WARNING **: 21:48:34.388: Can't open portal file chooser: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.TimedOut: Failed to activate service 'org.freedesktop.portal.Desktop': timed out (service_start_timeout=120000ms)

Have you verified like in comment #5 that you may be missing packages ? This specific error makes me confident you just lack those packages, and this would be a migration issue rather than a bug on our side.

I already checked. There are no missing packages. I changed the desktop to Ubuntu from Xubuntu, it made no difference. THis is a nomachine workstation virtual desktop session. It does not set up the session properly. snaps don't work by default. I am using the workaround for that and firefox launches.
