User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC; en-US; rv:1.0.0) Gecko/20020529 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC; en-US; rv:1.0.0) Gecko/20020529 This isn't a problem with the browser itself so much as an interference with other apps--although I cannot get the accented characters in Mozilla either, of course. I am amazed to see that no one has reported this, but maybe people are daunted by the insistence that problems be put in rather technical language. I am using Eudora 5 for e-mail and Quark XPress/CopyDesk for my daily tasks at The Nation magazine. On a 500 mhz G4. At home, on a 300 mhz G3 and OS 8.6, Mozilla does not interfere with producing accented characters. (Same version of Eudora. I don't use Quark at home, usually.) Thanks. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open, say, Eudora. Type some French, which is then no problem. 2.Open Mozilla. 3.Try typing some French in Eudora. Actual Results: After opening Eudora, I was unable to type the accents in French words. Expected Results: Left my keyboard the **** alone. I'm using a classic (I think) Netscape (I'm sure) theme at work.
