It seems like urlbarprovider results are cached between different searchmodes, this means I cannot show a different set of results (for the same query) when we are in search mode vs not in any mode. I would like to preset all the available options to a use when they enter "actions" mode, but only present the top X to the user when they are not in any specific mode

Actually they are not, the "caching" was actually an object being reused in a surprising way
