i just upgraded from 1.1 to 1.2a on RH 7.3.  the tree widget (in the mail app
and in the preferences dialog) does not display the "collapsed" icon (">") for
items with children.  this is only in the modern theme, the classic theme shows
an icon OK.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. switch to modern theme
2. edit->preferences

or

1. switch to modern theme
2. open mail
3. click in icon in table header to group messages hierarchically by thread

Actual Results:  
no ">" icons (although you can get "V" icons by expanding)

Expected Results:  
displayed an ">" icon next to items with children
