Steps to reproduce:

I logged into facebook after firefox updated.
I went to a large facebook group and searched for a search term
Search did not go through although I can see by doing subsequent search that it was "recorded" by the interface...however no new page was rendered

I have also tried refreshing facebook deleting all extensions etc. this did not help except now I've lost all my passwords on this device.

Actual results:

In logging into facebook after firefox update it took about 3-5 minutes for the first page to render...highly unusual
I then linked to a group page in facebook and did a search (which is a requirement of the group before posting--just like here!)
Nothing appeared to happen...the page remained static

Expected results:

I should have seen a new page render with a list of items that met the search string.
It works properly in Chrome & Safari AND if I log into facebook and conduct a new search I can see that the facebook interface recorded the previous search I had done even though it did not render a page of search results. (I know there are results to be had because I tested it also with a search I had done in the past which returned multiple items...also when there is nothing the faceboo interface tells you that nothing was found.)

I can confirm that the search inside Groups isn't working for me either. The global search works, but inside Groups, the search dialog pops up, but trying to search something just makes the dialog go away, and then nothing happens.

Reproduced on 91.9esr, old 97RC build, and latest Firefox builds across OS's, thus confirming. The search is stopped before completion.

I can still reproduce it on my side while the browser window fits the entire screen.

Thank for that. Unfortunately for me, it doesn't matter whether browser window is fitting the entire screen, or whether browser is reduced size or resized. The issue is still occurring on my side. Browser 101.0.1 (64-bit), Win10 Pro

Would someone explain: What the last post from Ryan VanderMeulan means in plain English.

Also note, I was not operating Firefox in full screen (rarely do for any application) I encounter this bug without using full screen.

I was not able to reproduce this issue on the latest Nightly.

Tested on:
Operating system: Windows 10
Browser/Version: Firefox Nightly 111.0a1 (2023-01-30)
