Session restore fails after update from a previous SeaMonkey release to 2.53.12.

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:68.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/68.0 SeaMonkey/2.53.12
Steps to reproduce:
SM 2.53.12 on Debian 10
close the browser with "some" open windows and tabs.
restart the browser
it open a windows with the list of previous session windows and tabs, and ask if restore the previous session or not
pressed "Restore previous session" button
Actual results:
it open only one new empty browser window and left open the window where it ask to restore the previous session, but the button "Restore previous session" now is grayed.
All the previous windows and tabs was lost
Expected results:
the Browser should restore all the previous windows and tabs like 2.53.11 as ever done

I can not reproduce this with a different distro (openSUSE 15.3). Please try restarting SeaMonkey in safe mode or use a test profile to see if it is caused by an add-on.

happened on update from 2.53.11 to 2.53.12 where I lost all my opened tabs.
I repeated the test now with 2.53.12 and work.
I saw I cannot change the bug description in the first post, so please take in account apply to the upgrade phase

I think I have seen this some time ago. I will leave the bug open but the cause is probably some corruption in the session restore file older releases didn't care about. I was not able to track it down then.

will help to reproduce this bug a feature to export/save the lists of open windows and tabs, to do just before update, and in case to reload that
