'Find in This Page', for a given browser window, does not stay in effect for more than one Web page, although its dialog window remains displayed

Details
In Netscape 4.79, one could select 'Find in This Window' (or the equivalent),
under 'Edit', fill in the dialog window that comes up with the string to search
for, and proceed to search any number of Web pages that are brought up in that
browser window. For each additional such window brought up, this 'Find. . .'
had to be selected and loaded uniquely for that window.
In Moz 1.2b, I find, for a given browser window, that one has to re-enable the
'Find. . .' for it every time a new Web page is brought up in that window --
even though the searcher might wish to maintain the same string to be searched
for. The string need not be replaced for each Web page, but the 'Find. . .'
must be reactivated for each one.
This is a pain in the whole anatomy when wishing to search numerous pages, even
when desiring to search for different strings on different pages.

What ever happened to this bug? If Netscape did it, but someone decided Moz
didn't have to, does that make it an enhancement? It's a real nuisance!
