This test specifies:

but the log does not contain the execution of test_databaseShadowing1.js so it is not surprising that the other test fails - but it is not clear why it was not executed. It also might be worth noting that the only instance seen so far seems the one from Jan's autoland push yesterday.

Hm, maybe this was the reason why all errors were silently ignored before. CI splits all these tests into separate groups. It can happen that test_databaseShadowing1.js and test_databaseShadowing2.js end up in different groups. I don't know if there's a way to tell CI to keep these tests always in one group.

Enforcing the chunk grouping in test-verify is not supported as far as I know. Might skipping these tests with skip-if = verify be sufficient? They should always run in the same chunk in their normal test suite.

Shadow writes has been disabled some time ago, so it's not so important to run these tests. Furthermore, these tests will be removed completely along with legacy localStorage implementation removal.
