Having problems with Thunderbird. (M1 Macbook Air Apple OS 12.4, Thunderbird 91.9.1 (64-bit))
Generally the problem seems to be "Thunderbird Internal" because crashes occur:-
1. "Online Working".
2. "Offline Working".
3. "Working in Safe-mode".
I phoned TPG (internetProvider) and they claimed "no blocks" were being placed on '@ndm.com.au'
I looked up Mozilla Support and:-
1. Tried to repair all Spam & Junk Folders.
2. I deleted all ".... .msf" folders (and they successfully rebuilt on next launch)
If I launch / working online, (or offline), and select "any" Spam or Junk Folder Thunderbird hangs almost immediately.
If I launch/work with 'my email' folders I get about 10 minutes before Thunderbird hangs, or after about 20 minutes 'Force Quit' will open & show 'Your system has run out of application memory'.
If I launch/open (say In Box), select "Offline Working" and then walk away, after about 45 minutes 'Force Quit' will open & show 'Your system has run out of application memory'.
The only folder that I not been able to 'get into' to look/repair/reset in Account Settings (for Junk), or delete is > Local Folders > Spam.
It appears to me that this folder could be causing the problem.
I cannot find anything in Mozilla Support about getting into/ fixing/ and or deleting this folder (and maybe all the other Junk / Spam Folders as they could also be corrupted)
I would like a solution to the problem, but meanwhile, my work around is:-
1. Launch Thunderbird and quickly read emails etc., etc., and then Quit Thunderbird.
2. If Thunderbird hangs, before I complete, existing work is not lost, but any emails (being composed) are lost when Force Quit is used.
3. Re launch, complete, and Quit.
I am an experienced user, but must use 'step by step' solutions provided by others to help with issues like this.
(Thunderbird has been used by me for many years, and moved through multiple OS and machine's over about 15 years)

Geoffrey, are you still having issues? If yes, does https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1662759#c28 help?
Are these imap accounts or pop?
