  1. Edit a contact
  2. click somewhere in the contact tab, but outside the contact details being editted.

In version 91 there is an audible alert.

I don't understand. Why should that cause an any sound or other action?

Because you are clicking in the application but outside the actionable area, and a sound is a reasonable response from the system to tell you that is what you just did.

The sound is a system function on modal dialogs when you click outside of the dialog. The new AB doesn't use a modal dialog for editing the contact.

Alex can decide whether to keep this. I have no strong opinion.

As Richard said, the error sound feedback is something that is up to the Operating System to handle.
We don't use popup dialogs anymore and an error sound is not something that is supported by default. Manually implementing this wouldn't be very beneficial IMHO.
