STR: (macOS)
- Have PIP window open, plus one Firefox Window.
- Minimize regular firefox window.
- Notice that Application says "Firefox Nightly", but there's no File menu
- Try to hit CMD-N to open a new window
Expected Result:
- New Window Opens
Actual Result:
Nothing.
(For comparison, the whole menu bar is preserved when using the Music app's PiP mode)

Hi,
I understand the expectation, but this is not something we're going to pursue.
The goal of PiP is to elevate and separate the video experience from the rest of the browser (rather than create another browser window that can play video on top).

If there's ever reconsideration of this, let me give yet another way this can bite:
If you have a PiP window open, and you minimize an existing Firefox window, the PiP window can become foremost all of a sudden. This leads to a really unfortunate inconsistency however: Now when you minimize an existing firefox window, you're in a pickle, because Firefox is in one of three states, and PiP is an outlier:
- The frontmost window is a normal firefox window: the menu bar works as expected, and you can CMD-N a new window
- There is no frontmost window: In this state, the firefox menu bar is still there (macOS convention) and you cand CMD-N a new window
- There is a PiP window frontmost: in this state the firefox menu bar is gone, and CMD-N doesn't work, so you have to rummage around looking for an icon to get a regular firefox window
This is bad platform behaviour.

This is a valid request. We want to have a working global menubar regardless of the focused window. Reopening and moving to Widget:Cocoa.
