This problem has existed since I have been using mozilla which was around
version M18 and is still present in Mozilla version 1.1 on both windows and
linux. This problem happens rarely when loading pages from the hard drive of the
computer but will present itself when downloading the page using a 56K modem.
If I can give any more feedback on this problem I would be glad to help.

On the linux platform I am using Shockwave Flash 5.0 r47. I can't confirm at
this time the version of flash that it occured on recently when checking a
windows version of Mozilla.
Both are mozilla version 1.1.
The generated javascript is designed to detect whether or not the flash plugin
is installed and to display either a flash movie or an image where appropriate.
The problem occurs when I load a page with a flash movie that uses the
javascript in question over a slow modem. The first load will cause the flash
movie to be displayed twice one after the other. There is no over lap in the
movies it is as though I have inserted the movie twice.
After a refresh the page will return to it's intended format with only 1 movie
being displayed. Subsequently loading the page from the cache also works with no
problem.
Interestingly the problem occurs more commonly on dynamically generated pages.
This leads me to the conclusion that the problem occurs when a page is loaded a
little slowly into the browser.
I hope this is of some help

Reporter:
The test page in question looks the same in IE as in a daily trunk build. Can
you please attach the snippet of HTML/JS that is causing the problems? Thanks!
