User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:102.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/102.0
Firefox for Android
Steps to reproduce:
So I have thousands of tabs on android that I want to transfer to PC, and it just outright doesn't function at all. Spent too much time already restarting, resyncing and whatnot between the two devices, and the tab sync section is literally empty (I can however see tabs from the PC on android, but not the other way around).
Tried to send tabs via share before, but that has 99 tabs limit for whatever reason, so that's not an option either.
Actual results:
Literally nothing.
Expected results:
Synced tabs should show up.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Sync' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

We're sorry to hear you are having this problem, but thanks very much for taking the time to make this report. From the image you included with this bug it appears that sync isn't detecting your android device. Can you confirm that you're signed into your Firefox Account on your android device and then include detailed sync logs by following these instructions? Once you've generated the logs, please attach them to this bug so we can troubleshoot your issue.

Thanks for the logs - it shows there are no tabs from other devices for your account on the server. I suspect the problem here is that on Android we don't make any effort to ensure the number of tabs we sync is within our max sizes. Desktop does - it just drops tabs until they fit, but Android will just blow over that max and the server will fail to accept the record, so no tabs will appear for the device. I've opened this issue for that - once that is fixed, we'd sync a reduced set of tabs so you'd see some, but not all.

I tested the issue Fenix Nightly 106.0a1 2022-13-09 by having 200 open tabs on a mobile device but was unable to reproduce it. I was able to share tabs to desktop and could also see the opened tabs from desktop.
Device used: Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra (Android 12).
200 had no problems even before, but recently I think I had over a thousand again, yet without problems this time. Might test later with more, but it does seem more reliable now.
On a side note, Firefox could really use some built-in loader to handle this many tabs at once, without addons like "Load Background Tab Lazily" and "Auto Tab Discard" it just hangs indefinitely (on a 16GB system at least).
Anyway, keep up the great work on the greatest browser, cheers :)
