User-Agent: Mozilla/4.78 [de] (WinNT; U) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; WinNT4.0; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/20021028 every time I move the mouse pointer over one scrollbar, push the left mouse-button and move the mouse, black pixel pattern appear and change while I move the mouse, even if the slider is not moved, but not if I click in the light grey area and move the mouse there. (another thing which may not help: in one of our intranet pages (which I cannot forward to the public) there is an area of links and pictures on the top of the page. If this area is scrolled ot of sight and then back, black rectangular blocky patterns appear in that area, only where text is, not on the pictures. This patterns change when the browser window it resized or the contens is scrolled (Only if I scroll veryvery slowly, these obscuring stuff does not show up - this is the only way to remove it)) The pixel-patterns in the scrollbar area disappear from time to time while the patterns change but reappear on the next move. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. start mozilla 2. if there is no scrollbar visible, reduce the window sice until there is one 3. move the mouse on the scrollbar Actual Results: See details. in Addition: it seems that any change to the scrollbar area causes this effect, "any change" is any of: change in size, moving the slider, even moving the mouse (while holding the left button down) above the slider without moving the slider. But not moving the mouse in the light grey area or without holding a button down. Expected Results: Well, er, :-) obvious huh: display a clean scroll bar and never obscure pages with black patterns :-) OS: Windows NT, Service pack 6 The effect happened with mozilla 1.0 also. Yesterday i upgraded to the abovementioned version, and it was the same. To avoid any configuration influence, i just downloaded everything again, let it install into an completely empty dir and started it in offline-mode. then I clicked 'help'->'About Mozilla' reduced the window size until a scrollbar appeared - and the black pixel patterns were there. Mozilla is the only program on my system which behaves like that - I used/use Netscape 4.7* (actual:4.78), Opera 6.01 and 6.05 and IE5 (if nothing else works). It's not vital, but it is extremely annoying and keeps me from using mozilla as the default browser :-( - dirk
